My deepest condolences to Lori’s family.
I knew Lori from X and came to care about her and Rebel deeply. I so wanted her to enjoy her new home and Rebel to enjoy his new yard.
She was an absolute warrior, and she fought a good fight.

My deepest condolences to Lori's family. I'm just so heartbroken at the sadness of it all. I watched her journey from afar and was inspired by her spirit. As someone else said here, we Twitter followers cheered her and Rebel along on their journey. I can't imagine how her family feels. Lori made a deep impact on me and thousands who followed her. I admired her strength and will and her humor through it all. Her love for Rebel was something to behold. I wish I had known her in real life. I wish I could give Rebel a hug and take him on a five mile walk to see some horse friends. I wish they could have unpacked some boxes in NJ and played some basketball in their new backyard. I'm just so sad about it all. But, her story, her grit, her humor and her blazing warrior spirit will live on. She was so special. May God bless and comfort Lori's mother, her sisters, brothers in law, nephews and nieces, her friends in real life, and her beautiful, big, fluffy, freckled-nose, puppy who loved her so, Rebel.

In heartfelt sympathy & prayer to Lori’s family, friends and fur baby Rebel. I met Lori on x just after she lost her husband. We chatted daily. We had a lot in common. I’m a two time breast cancer survivor. My husband passed away going on 10 years ago and I live alone. I pet sit my son’s two dogs when he’s at work. Rebel was her boy and we shared many dog stories. At first when Bill passed away, Lori was worried about Rebel. She figured he was missing his doggy daddy. She hated leaving him for any length of time. When she returned he would be anxiously awaiting her return and she was equally happy to be back home with him. She went to great lengths. More often than not, Lori was tired & not feeling great but she would walk Rebel for miles and that could have been for the second or third time that day. He was indeed Lori’s loyal and faithful friend and companion. They had each other. She was his human.
We also shared a love of photography & writing but for me it’s a hobby. and I could identify with her passion & keen eye for taking pictures, sense of adventure & capturing mother nature’s works of art.
Lori touched my life at a time when there was a void & darkness. She was a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine. May her bright light continue to shine. Take comfort in your cherished memories and keep her memory alive in your minds & hearts. Lori earned her wings and a peaceful rest. Her rare perfume will linger and surround forever near. May her gentle soul rest in eternal and everlasting peace. God Bless.
“A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world, but then it flies on again, and although we wish it could have stayed,
we are so thankful to have seen it at all.”

So beautifully written. I knew Lori from X, also, checking in regularly to find out what was happening with her, and cheering her on.
I’m so happy to learn that you developed the friendship that you did with her, having so many things in common. I imagine that was a comfort to both of you.
My condolences for the loss of your friend. As hard as it has hit me, I know it’s hit the people closer to her so much more.

I never knew her husband's name until now. But she amazed me with her strength and courage. Her losing Bill the way she did. I'll never forget her worries about the chickens. I was afraid we would never talk with you again. But you are not suffering and you have been reunited with your husband now. Rest Easy Always Lori. I will never forget you.

My heart is broken.
I started following Lori on X in December a year ago, right after she lost her husband Bill while she was still living in Wyoming. I would chat back and forth with her on an almost daily basis. I loved the sharing of her gorgeous photos of so many places out west, but what I loved most were her daily interactions with Rebel, who was like a child to her. What a bond those two had. Not only did he keep her entertained constantly, his escapades became daily fodder for so many of us to keep up with.
I have never known a more inspirational and true warrior as Lori. Even though thousands of us on X never got to meet her in person, she touched so many lives with her braveness, and tenacity, and her daily sharing of it all with us.
I will truly miss Lori's great sense of humor and her ability to deal with so much in her past few years. She fought to the very end, and my life will have a small empty place with her gone. I will miss this wonderful lady so much.
May you rest in eternal piece Lori. I pray that you are now back with your Bill.
I take some solace knowing Lori's boy, who she referred to as "my puppy" is now with Lori's sister.
My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to Lori's family.

I met Lori thru Twitter over a year ago. Even though she had thousands of followers she was always so kind as to respond to me personally. This horrible disease took my sister in the same way and I was hoping she would be able to live a longer happy life in her new home. I know her beloved Rebel will be looked after and that would have made her happy. My deepest condolences to her family in this difficult time. I will always remember her with affection as I felt we were kindred spirits. May she rest in Peace.
