Obituary of James Michael McFeely

James Michael McFeely, 77,  of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away, Wednesday, Sep 4, 2024, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, NJ. He was a retired Steamfitter for Steamfitters Local 638, New York, NY. Known as Poppy to most, he took great pride in being a grandfather to his three grandsons. Poppy was always upbeat and usually greeted people with “Hello Sunshine.”

One of his favorite hobbies was baking cheesecakes for people to show his love and appreciation. He enjoyed cruising on Royal Caribbean and was a member of the Diamond Club. He loved vacationing with his family in Ocean City, MD. He was dedicated to his Steamfitters Union and was kindly referred to as Moose. He always had a smile on his face and a story to share.

The son of the late James A. and Josphine( Luini) McFeely, he was born May 2, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to the late Patricia A. McFeely.

James leaves behind his son James M. McFeely, Jr and his wife Traci of Milford, PA and three grandchildren Connor, Gannon and Keegan.

Calling hours will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 12 to 2 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 2 PM with Rev. Edward Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, PA.
