Obituary of David Peter Moore

David Peter Moore, 60, of Shohola, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of the life he so proudly built.

Born on December 16, 1965, in Pequannock, New Jersey, David was the cherished son of the late Annis and Janet (Taylor) Moore.

He shared a deeply devoted life with his loving wife, Florence (O’Dell) Moore. Together, they built a foundation of unwavering love, loyalty, and companionship through many faithful years together.

A hard-working man with a strong work ethic, David served as a dedicated Dump Truck Driver for Wind River Environmental in Milford, Pennsylvania, earning the respect of his colleagues through his diligence and dependable nature.

Beyond his professional life, David was an avid car enthusiast who found genuine joy in the power, design, and spirit of automobiles. He was also a proud and active member of the Silentia Masonic Lodge in Butler, New Jersey, where he cherished his involvement in the ancient and honorable society of Free and Accepted Masons and the deep bonds of brotherhood it provided.

David’s legacy of love, strength, and camaraderie lives on through those he cherished most. Left to honor his memory are his beloved wife, Florence Moore; his children, Jeremy Meyer, Alexander Moore, Kenneth Herbert III, and Robert Herbert; his siblings, James Moore, Thomas Moore, John Moore, and Cathy Slagle; along with a loving circle of nieces, nephews, dear friends, and a vast brotherhood of fellow Masons from the Silentia Lodge.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA during visitation hours on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
